"The Imaginarium" Limited Edition
"The Imaginarium" aerial dance costume is pure celestial magic! Inspired by Gucci SS17 and honesty, the movie "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasuss" by Terry Gilliam. The sets and travelling carriage in that movie absolutely transports you!
So much went into this creation. The skirt is hand dyed to match the velvet. All the trims are painted for a tarnished effect. I had to be careful not to go overboard with the stones (I SO wanted to sparkle the moons but in the end, the soft shimmer was best) In the end, I think it evokes the antique, celestial feeling I wanted to convey. The feeling of tarnished stars and sparkly, jangly things.
*This costume is limited edition meaning there are only 2 that exist and will ever exist.
- Stretch crushed velvet, powernet, sequin applique, metallic mesh and holographic spandex.
- Leotard has princess seams for nice bust and body shaping. Bottom has a standard leotard cut with full bottom coverage. Skirt is double layered flounce. Mesh bust area is lined with opaque, nude spandex.
- Hook closures on left shoulder. No-zipper costume design for maximum stretch and fewer malfunctions.
- Crystal embellishments throughout. I used a mix of champagne and metallic gold for a patina, uneven effect.
- Hand painted aged detailing.
- This costume comes with a small headpiece. The photo shows it under costruction. It will have gold stones and gold elastic band.

- I do not offer alterations on ready to wear items, however, a simple alteration is easy and affordable by your local dry cleaner or seamstress.
- I do not accept returns on obviously worn items or if you contact me with fit issues well after the delivery date.
