"Withered Petticoats"

This 3 piece aerial dance costume is inspired by dusty petticoats and discolored pretty things. In my mind, I was picturing an old Victorian dress found in an attic trunk. The vest with skirt is removable with a hook closure. I upcycled the skirt from a fabulous thrift find! The upper is a vintage style bra that I hand dyed and painted. It doesn't have underwire and the cup is not super specific.
- crushed stretch velvet, stretch cut velvet, skirt is mesh and tulle with a horsehair braid border, handpainted appliques, crystal embellishments throughout.
- Bottoms are vintage cut and full-coverage. The cut velvet panels are fully-lined. Vest is fully-lined with heavy powernet for structure.
- Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry
