"Cirque du Taj"

This whimsical aerial costume was inspired by the center jewel, plundered from a vintage sari. I love these odd color combinations. Growing up with a Japanese mom, I was always taught to choose opposite colors. She would explain to me how to combine the perfect obi for a kimono. "Never match. Always opposite color." She would say. I find that saris have the same color philosophy which is why I'm so drawn to them.

• Stretch velvet, hand dyed striped spandex, antiqued metallic appliques, handpainted appliqués, crystal embellishments throughout. 

• The costume is painted and aged.

• The bust is fully-backed with heavy weight powernet for shape and support. Full coverage, vintage cut booty.

• Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry
