"Withered" aerial dance costume is inspired by fleeting beauty. The brief moment of perfection and yet beauty still endures in deterioration. Finding beauty in unexpected places. Like a wilting bouquet of white roses.
This is a one of a kind piece and won't be replicated. I carved out different organic shapes in the body filling in with sheer textures, blending the lines between what is body and what is costume. Creamy whites, faded browns, and spotty deep grey. There's so much movement in this piece.
- Hand dyed mystique spandex, powernet, and painted lace applique.
- Leotard is fully lined except in mesh panels on side and lower hip. Right boob is lined with nude spandex.
- The left waist area and right upper leg are sheer mesh.
- Crystal embellishments throughout. I used a mix of champagne and charcoal grey.
- Hand painted and dyed detailing.
