"Cirque du Ciel”
What if you pulled a most glamorous costume from an old circus trunk? Definitely my inspiration behind this creation. I wanted to create a costume that feels truly authentic. Metallics that are corroded and staining. Darkened seams and stones turning colors from age and patina. I really didn't spare any details on this one. The headpiece is included and is worth $300. I pulled techniques from my theatrical crafting days. It's incredibly light weight and durable. The back skirt is detachable and made from a vintage sari.
- 4 way stretch velvet one-piece leotard with detachable tulle skirt. Skirt has gold sequin dots.
- Top is drafted from a vintage bra pattern. Sequin spandex is lined. Edges and straps are all metallic stretch trim. Bottoms are a standard full-coverage cut.
- Gold lace applique and crystal embellishment throughout.
- Headpiece is stiffened and wired lace with ostrich plumes that are 10" at the tallest.
- cups can be added for an additional $10.
- Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry
