"Jester of Love"

My life long obsession with antique costumes continues!
I created the fabric for this piece by airbrushing the stripes and hand painting all of the distressing and discolorations. The fabric is not actually cut on an angle but the stripes are painted on an angle giving you maximum stretch and movability the spandex intended. All of the ribbons are hand dyed and the gold appliques are intentionally patina'd. I absolutely love the handcrafted warmth in this piece. Hope it transcends you to another time and place. 
 
One piece leotard is fully-lined. Bottoms are a boy cut short with full coverage. 
Details are all distressed and intentionally weathered. The whole costume is hand dyed and painted. 
4-way stretch mystique spandex, airbrushed and hand painted.
Handmade straps can be worn either crossed or straight.
Ruffle is tacked down on the side seams. Neck ruffle is included. 
All trim, ribbons, and edging are stretch.
Crystal embellishments throughout.
Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry. Remove tassels before washing.

Slightly big on the form. (The costume on the form is a size XS and has sold)
