"My Sacred Heart" teal

This costume is one of a kind! I've made this design in warm shades of red and pink but felt that a cool version needed to exist in this world. I used so many of my techniques in this piece. The center panel is hand dyed, painted, and airbrushed. The copper pieces are metallic stretch velvet that I also painted to give it a patina look. All trims, tassels, and pretty much everything on this costume has been painted or treated in some way to give it that weathered, antique look. 
 
One piece leotard is fully-lined. Bottoms are a pretty standard leotard cut with good coverage. 
Cups are backed with heavy weight powernet for shape and support.
Details are all distressed and intentionally weathered. The whole costume is hand dyed and painted. 
4-way stretch mystique spandex, stretch cut velvet, metallic stretch velvet, and stretch velvet.
Heart is dimensional using a "trapunto" quilting technique. 
Crystal embellishments throughout.
Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry.
