"Petals & Parchment"

Sometimes I find an image that is so inspiring and challenges me to tinker with new techniques. I loved the look of this old parchment with gothy flowers. It's also reminiscent of old vines and blossoms growing on a gravestone. I used stretch pleather along with airbrushing and staining to create the center panel. The vines I appliqué organically as I'm sewing creating climbing and dripping shapes.
 
One piece leotard is fully-lined. Nude mesh is light/neutral and is lined. It can be dyed darker to match your skin tone. Back has darts on the lower back for a nice contouring curve.
Details are all distressed and intentionally weathered. The whole costume is hand dyed and painted. 
4-way stretch pleather spandex is stained and painted. 4-way stretch velvet. Rhinestone metal clip closure. 
Crystal embellishments throughout.
Washing instruction: hand wash cool water, roll in towel, hang to dry
